Programs are continuing to transition to awarding doctoral degrees.
As of July 15, 2019, there are 92 nurse anesthesia programs approved by the COA to offer entry-level doctoral degrees and 25 programs approved to offer post-master’s doctoral degree completion programs.

These include: Master’s programs typically run between 27 - 30 months and consist of two phases: academic foundation which can be completed online in some cases and extensive clinical experience.
Most programs require completion of around 64 credits.
